The Joint Meeting of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists is an annual meeting of three scientific societies — the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists; the Herpetologists’ League; and the Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles – to share current research and network with professional peers. Graduate students compete for presentation and travel awards.
Our local host committee helps with a variety of tasks including finding volunteers to staff our registration table and finding local venues for our social events.
Our organizing societies for the 2018 meeting include the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists; the Herpetologists’ League; and the Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles.
The Meeting Management and Planning Committee is comprised of representatives from all of the organizing societies and helps with suggestions for future sites, as well as improvements to the meeting.
