2016 Attendees

Attendee Registration Information

Meeting registration is now only available on site in New Orleans, Louisiana. Please register onsite at the JMIH New Registration booth located in Preservation Booth on the 2nd floor of the Marriott.  Registration check-in will be available Wednesday, 6 July – Saturday 9 July from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and on Sunday, 10 July from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

*Take advantage of the AES, ASIH, HL, and SSAR society member rates – renew your membership or join now!

*In order to present in New Orleans, all presenters, including symposia presenters, must register and pay for the meeting.  Please note that submitting an abstract does not automatically register you for the meeting.  Online registration is a separate system from the abstract submission site and requires a separate login username and password.  Your username and password are not necessarily the same for the two systems.

Registration Fees

Fees are at the early rate. After May 6, 2016 11:59:59 CST, fees will increase as indicated.

The registration fee covers all program materials, morning and afternoon refreshment breaks, and the opening reception at Mardi Gras World. Registrants are responsible for all other meals and lodging.

Daily registration is defined as the start of the first session on a particular day until the end of the last session on the same day. It is not a 24-hour period. Please note that the daily registration fees do not include the Thursday evening reception, regardless of which day you plan to attend. You must purchase a separate reception ticket in order to attend.

Registrations (at the late fee rate) will be accepted after May 6 11:59:59 CST. Walk-on registrations will be assessed an additional fee as indicated above and there can be no guarantee that social event tickets, t-shirts, or additional copies of abstract books will be available.

Accompanying Persons

The $180 accompanying persons fee includes all hosted breaks and receptions, as well as meeting materials. The accompanying person registration is offered as a courtesy to spouses and life-time partners who do NOT intend to participate in the regular academic program other than attending the presentation(s) made by their professional counterpart. Anyone who intends to participate in the academic program by interacting with poster presenters and/or attending oral presentations must pay the full registration fee.

Guests

If you have a guest accompanying you to New Orleans, but they do not wish to participate in the meeting, you may mark them as a “Guest Only” on the registration form. Doing so allows our registration staff to keep a more accurate accounting of who is attending the social functions. Guests will receive no meeting materials and are not entitled to any refreshment breaks or the reception, unless purchased for them. Social event tickets may be purchased for guests on the registration form.

Visas and Other Documents

You are responsible for all travel arrangements, including procurement of visas, if necessary, and acquisition of currency sufficient for your stay. A formal letter of invitation for the 2016 annual meeting to help acquire visas or funding is available. If you require a personalized version of the invitation letter, please send your request to Marty Crump.

Policies

Cancellation/Refund Policy

The K-State Global Campus may cancel or postpone any event or activity because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a program is canceled or postponed, the K-State Global Campus will refund registration fees, but cannot be held responsible for other costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies. Registration fees will not be canceled and refunds will not be issued if the program is held, but the registrant is unable to attend due to travel delays or cancellations caused by inclement weather or due to any other extraordinary circumstances beyond the control of Kansas State University.

If you must cancel your registration, please do so as soon as possible by sending an email to registration@k-state.edu with the subject line “Joint Meeting Registration.” Substitutions are encouraged. If you need to make changes to your registration, go to the online registration form and log in using the username and password you created at the time of your original registration. A full refund, minus a $50.00 administrative fee, will be made if cancellation is received in writing by Kansas State University by 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday, June 3, 2016. After that date, due to guarantees we must give, refunds are not available. Refunds cannot be given in amounts less than $5.00.

Registrants who do not cancel their registration through Conference Registration are responsible for the total meeting registration fee even if they do not attend the meeting and have not paid the registration fee.

Special Assistance

Kansas State University is committed to making events accessible to all participants. A participant in a conference or non-credit program with a disability who needs accommodations or has special dietary requirements should indicate services needed at the time of registration.  If you have further questions please contact Heide Burke at hburke@k-state.edu.  Early notification is requested to ensure that accommodations can be provided in a timely manner.
