    Brigadier General Mark R. Stammer

    Distance Education Alumni Fellow Brigadier General Mark R. Stammer will visit the Division of Continuing Education on February 20-22 as part of Kansas State University’s Alumni Fellows Week.

    Brig. Gen. Stammer received a Master of Science degree in Adult Occupational and Continuing Education from K-State’s Division of Continuing Education in 1999. When speaking about his education, he said, “The fundamental principles of my adult education experience continue to inform and shape my leadership philosophy and all my actions.”

    As the Commanding General of Joint Task Force North, Fort Bliss, Texas, Brig. Gen. Stammer’s mission is to provide unique military support to the nation’s drug law enforcement agencies. Prior to his assignment to the Joint Task Force North, Brig. Gen. Stammer commanded the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also commanded 2nd Battalion (Airborne) 503rd Infantry, 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vicenza, Italy and during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
